As-One Release 7 provides enhancements that improve the way project teams can manage
and collaborate on project work. Release 7 includes changes to the “look and feel”. It is important that existing As-One users are aware of these changes before the
release is published to production. Detailed release notes will be included within this release.
|
| As-One Improved Reporting –
As-One already includes reporting capabilities. We have
expanded this capability with the integration of Crystal
Reports®. |
- Release 7 is delivered with a
set of canned grid, graphical, and dashboard
reports that support senior management, project
management, and team member reporting needs.
- In addition, provides the
capability to request additional reports from
As-One support, if the canned reports do not fit
all of your needs. All of the data that is
needed to understand the health of your projects
is already in As-One. We are now providing a
powerful way to make it available in a format
that you need!

As-One Custom Fields – Release 7
includes the capability to create custom fields for any area
to allow gathering and tracking of information that is not
already provided. |
| Administrators will now be able to: |
- Extend the As-One database to
allow As-One to fit better within their
organization.
- Create custom field types,
which are essentially data types that can be
reused as choices in custom fields. For example,
the administrator can create a custom field type
of red, yellow, and green. That type can then be
reused as choices in radio buttons, choice
boxes, check boxes, and lists. Custom fields can
be attached to one or multiple areas of As-One,
you can create a custom field that has a choice
box with the label of “Status” with the choices
of red, yellow, and green; and attach the Status
choice box to Work Products, Actions, and
Discrepancies.

As-One Auditing and Versioning –
Release 7 provides detailed tracking capabilities of changes
to all information on a project. All items such as actions,
work products, tasks, and events have a check out feature
that allows members to lock out specific records while they
are working on them and then check them back in for project
viewing when they are complete. |
- As-One maintains a history of all
information so that team members can revert back to a
previous version, if desired.
- Release 7 tracks and provides
the capability for members to read the specific
changes in each version. Auditing and versioning is
an important feature that will change the way users
update items in As-One. A user will not have the
ability to edit an item (action, task, work product,
event, discrepancy) until the item is checked out
first.

As-One Categories Anywhere – As-One currently provides a powerful capability to categorize best practices, lessons learned, process
standards, and project documentation using folders in the Knowledge Library, making information easy to find. |
- Release 7 will extend this
capability to all of the project areas in As-One.
- Team members will have the
capability to categorize things like actions, work
products, tasks, events, risks, requirements,
discrepancies, and change logs in a hierarchical folder
structure.
- Users can browse by category to
find related records regardless of the portal that
originated the record. Finding things will be a snap.

As-One Attachment
Lists – Release 7 now includes the
capability to view, filter, and access all
attachments directly from the list pages. |
- Gone is the previous approach
to list pages such as Work Products,
Discrepancies, and Actions only included a list
of items. The capability did not exist to allow
viewing of a list of document attachments
associated with the items in the list. To access
an attachment, you were required to click on
each individual item to view and access the
attachment(s) for that item.

As-One Improved Sharing/Hiding – Release 7 now includes the capability to view, filter, and
access all attachments directly from the list pages. |
- As-One currently provides the
capability to include teams to share specific items
making the items unavailable for unselected teams.
Release 7 expanded the capability to allow the selection
of teams you wish to “exclude” from sharing specific
items, in addition to the existing “include” approach.
In addition, you have the capability to select multiple
items directly from the list pages to set the sharing
privileges. Finally, you can now set sharing privileges
at the category (folder) level to share or hide all
items within that folder.
